It is my second outdoor cake smash shoot in less than two weeks and it is also the second time that the dog helped himself to the cake just before the photo session. And I have to admit – I didn’t think it was funny the first time around, but when I arrived at Hannerie and Chris’s house and the first words I were greeted with was “The dog ate the cake!!” I had to laugh. I also discovered something with these already smashed cakes… 

It looks like toddlers find the whole cake, all very nicely decorated, intimidating. But as soon as part of the cake has been opened – they go for it. And the smash is so much better! This little angel certainly did not waste any time diving into her cake. And we had to keep big brother tight behind the scenes because boy did it look like a lot of fun! And it was. One of the best smashes I have photographed in a very long time. Thank you Aleah for truly diving into and enjoying your cake. You are a rock star!
